Gail Simmons

Culinary expert Gail Simmons has lent her skills to Bravo’s Top Chef since its inaugural season in 2006. She later joined the show’s spinoff Top Chef: Just Desserts as a host in 2010. Simmons got her start in the culinary world shortly after graduating from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City. She later went on to train at Le Cirque 2000 and Vong.

Simmons has also made appearances on shows such as The Today Show, CBS Early Show, The Good Dish and The Best Thing I Ever Ate. She also acts as the liaison between the marketing and editorial teams at FOOD & WINE magazine.

Throughout her career, Simmons has contributed to several cookbooks, including The New American Chef by Andrew Dornenburg and Karen Page. In 2012, she authored her own cookbook titled Talking With My Mouth Full: My Life as a Professional Eater.

Simmons wed Jeremy Abrams in 2008. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Dahlia Rae, in 2013. She gave birth to their second child, son Kole Jack, in 2018.
