A sweet symbol. Many celeb moms, including Mila Kunis and Kim Kardashian, show their love for their offspring with nameplate necklaces, but not January Jones. She revealed she got inked in honor of her son, Xander, who just turned 5, on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday, September 28.
The intricate design on the Mad Men alum’s left forearm includes a dotted and dashed line down the middle, multiple intersecting circles and a heart in the center. “Thank you @_dr_woo_ ❤️,” Jones, 38, captioned an Instagram photo of the ink on September 25, calling out celebrity tattoo artist Dr. Woo.
But there’s more to the design than meets the eye. “It’s my birthdate and his inside,” she told host Seth Meyers, pointing to two circles in the design and their corresponding numbers. “So I’m protecting.”
Even sweeter than the tat itself was Xander’s response. “We do fake tattoos on him all the time. He was like, ‘That’s never gonna wear off!'” she shared. “He was very proud that I wanted that.”
Her parents also supported her choice. “My mom asked me to be put on Dr. Woo’s wait list,” she said of the artist, who also inked Ariel Winter. “He has like a five-year wait list.”
