January Jones

January Jones is an actress and model best known for playing Betty Draper on AMC’s Mad Men and for her roles in The Last Man on Earth and X-Men: First Class. Jones grew up in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with her two sisters. She was named after January Wayne, a character in Jacqueline Susann’s novel Once Is Not Enough. Jones moved to New York as a young woman to pursue modeling before relocating to Los Angeles to pursue acting.

Jones began acting in the late 1990s, appearing in films including Anger Management (2003), American Wedding (2003) and Love Actually (2003). Her breakthrough came in 2007 when she was cast as Betty Draper on Mad Men, a role that earned her two Golden Globe nominations and a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. She later starred as Melissa Shart on The Last Man on Earth and portrayed Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class (2011).

Throughout her career, Jones has appeared in films including We Are Marshall (2006), Unknown (2011), Seeking Justice (2011) and God is a Bullet (2023). Jones has also appeared on television in shows like The Politician and Spinning Out.

Jones has been romantically linked to Ashton Kutcher, Jim Carrey, Josh Groban, Jason Sudeikis, Will Forte and Nick Viall. She dated Groban from 2003 to 2006 and Sudeikis from 2010 to early 2011. Jones welcomed son Xander Dane in 2011 and has never publicly identified his father.
