
Mad Men
Mad Men is a period drama series that aired for seven seasons on AMC from 2007 to 2015.
The series follows Don Draper (Jon Hamm), an advertising executive who initially served as the creative director at Sterling Cooper Advertising Agency. He shares three children – Sally (Kiernan Shipka), Bobby (Mason Vale Cotton) and Gene (Evan Londo) – with his wife, Betty (January Jones). Don, whose real name is Richard “Dick” Whitman, struggles to maintain his secrets as his assumed identity starts to decline.
Other characters include Don’s secretary Peggy Olson (Elisabeth Moss), account executive Peter “Pete” Campbell (Vincent Kartheiser), office manager Joan Holloway (Christina Hendricks) and comanaging partner Roger Sterling (John Slattery).
Mad Men earned five Golden Globe Awards, a Peabody Award in 2008 and eight Emmy Awards total. Hamm won two Golden Globe Awards for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Drama in 2008 and 2016. He also earned an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2015.
