
Vincent Kartheiser
Vincent Kartheiser is an American actor best known for his role as Pete Campbell on Mad Men. Kartheiser was born into a large family in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He attended Apple Valley High School and became involved in local theater productions at a young age, eventually leaving school at age 15 to pursue acting professionally.
Kartheiser began his career as a child actor, appearing in films including Untamed Heart (1993) and Little Big League (1994). He gained wider recognition in the early 2000s with his role as Connor on Angel, before landing his breakout part as ambitious ad executive Pete Campbell on Mad Men in 2007, which brought him critical acclaim. He remained on the show until its end in 2015.
In addition to Mad Men, Kartheiser has appeared in projects including Masterminds (1997), Alpha Dog (2006), In Time (2011) and A Kind of Murder (2016), along with stage work and voice acting roles in films including Rango (2011).
Kartheiser married Alexis Bledel in 2014 after the pair met on Mad Men. They welcomed a son in 2015. The couple later separated, with Bledel filing for divorce in 2022.
