Whether she's sporting "The Rachel," modern caramel-colored tresses, or her recent brunette bob, Jennifer Aniston's hair is her thing. The Emmy-winning actress, 45, recently lightened up, returning to her blonde roots, and Us Weekly exclusively has all of the details on her hair makeover.
While she tends to stick to the lighter end of the spectrum, Aniston was spotted earlier this year sporting a medium brown bob, while filming her new movie Cake.
Due out in 2015, the drama has Aniston playing a woman who becomes obsessed with another woman's suicide, and is forced to look into her own life as she deals with a "very raw personal tragedy." The gritty role sparked Aniston's transformation.
However, when the star hit the red carpet this week with longtime love Justin Theroux, she was back to blonde. Aniston posed in a chic black outfit at the New York City premiere of Theroux's new HBO series The Leftovers on Monday, June 23, and showed off lightened locks with subtle highlights.
The new look is thanks to Hollywood colorist Michael Canale of Canale Salon, who spoke to Us exclusively about Aniston's fresh 'do.
"Chris McMillan and I worked together to bring Jen’s brunette bob back to her trademark sandy blonde tresses again," Canale tells Us. As to why she chose to return to blonde, he added, "That’s where she belongs."
