We’re wigging out over this one!
Julianna Margulies visited Late Show With David Letterman on Wednesday, Feb. 25, to dish about her hit CBS series, The Good Wife, and there’s one beauty detail she shared that we’re still not over: The wig she wears in character as Alicia Florrick is $10,000!
When Margulies, 48, clad in a red and black Michael Kors dress, asked Letterman, 67, “Isn’t that a good wig?” the talk show host agreed, then took a guess at how much the impeccable piece cost. “Ten grand?” he hedged.
“Ten grand,” the actress confirmed.
Wild to consider—just imagine all that can be bought with $10,000! And yet, the iconic character, who has scored Margulies two Emmys, would not be what she is without her flawless style, from her hair (without a single strand ever out of place) to her perfectly tailored suits.
The wig is made from real human hair, and was designed to match her hairline exactly. And bonus: As Margulies explained to the host, because she has naturally curly hair and believed Alicia should have straight hair, a wig significantly cuts down her time in the makeup chair every morning.
The Good Wife returns for its spring premiere on Sunday, March 1, at 9 p.m. EST.
