George Clooney and Brad Pitt are rivals now!
The real-life pals are both nominated for the 18th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards) in the same category, Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role. Clooney, 50, is up for his role in The Descendants, while Pitt, 47, is being considered for his role in Moneyball.
Other notable nominees include Michelle Williams for her role as Marilyn Monroe in My Week with Marilyn (Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role) and Glenn Close for her cross dressing role in Albert Nobbs.
Jonah Hill is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his dramatic turn alongside Pitt in Moneyball, and scene stealer Melissa McCarthy is up for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Bridesmaids.
Alec Baldwin (30 Rock), Ty Burrell (Modern Family), Steve Carell (The Office), Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men) and Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family) are all nominated for Best Male Actor in a Comedy series. Julie Bowen (Modern Family), Tina Fey (30 Rock), Sofia Vergera (Modern Family) and Betty White (Hot in Cleveland) are among the nominees for Best Female Actress in a Comedy Series.
