Taylor Swift has a lot of stuff to get off her chest. The singer-songwriter, 22, won Best Female Video at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday, Aug. 27 for "I Knew You Were Trouble" — and although she wasn't among the night's performers, her behavior in the audience alongside BFF Selena Gomez elicited nearly as much attention as the onstage antics of Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake and others. The superstar was caught dropping the F-bomb as ex-boyfriend Harry Styles presented an award early in the evening ("Shut the f—up!").
Swift hasn't had the opportunity to write a revenge tune about Styles as she has for the likes of other exes John Mayer, Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner and Jake Gyllenhaal — but it sounds like she could have one up her sleeve.
Speaking with MTV's Sway outside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Swift (looking ultra-glam in an Herve Leger dress, Prada shoes and jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira) said she's "always" writing music.
"But I think it's about to start to kick into full gear," Swift said of a followup to Red. "I'm about to go into the studio. It's about to get really intense."
Swift's to-be-determined fifth album of music could also mine her late 2012 romance with Conor Kennedy, with whom she split in October of last year.
