What a difference a year makes. Jodie Foster and girlfriend Alexandra Hedison took a nice romantic stroll together around NYC on Sunday, Jan. 19 after a lunch date.
Walking around downtown Manhattan's West Village nabe, the actress, 52, looked happy and cozy in a bright orange down jacket and colorful scarf, while 44-year-old Hedison stayed warm in a black peacoat, blue corduroy pants and a white knit hat. The couple made their first official public appearance together back in October at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts gala in Beverly Hills.
In January 2013, the two-time Oscar winner confirmed one of Hollywood's most prevalent rumors when she thanked longtime ex-partner and "soul sister for life," Cydney Bernard, during her lifetime achievement award speech at the Golden Globes.
The former child star then added of her sexuality: "I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago back in the Stone Age, in those very quaint days when a fragile young girl would open up to trusted friends and family and co-workers and then gradually, proudly to everyone who knew her, to everyone she actually met." (The Panic Room star moved many celeb onlookers in the room to tears for her moving, uncharacteristically personal speech.) Bernard and Foster, who ended their 20-year relationship in 2008, share two sons: Charles and Kit, 15 and 12.
Foster's new love Hedison famously dated Ellen DeGeneres for three years nearly a decade ago.
Foster, last seen on the big screen opposite Matt Damon in 2013 summer action flick Elysium, has several pending projects in the works including anticipated thriller Money Monster. The finance-related flick, which she is directing, is currently in its pre-production stage.
