Menswear inspired, but oh, so feminine!
Jennifer Lawrence straddled the thin line between exuberant elegance and all-out sex appeal in a low cut tuxedo dress for the premiere of her new film, Serena, on Monday, Oct. 13, in London.
The midnight-hued frock plunged dangerously low, as Lawrence, 24, decided to forego the use of a bra. Lawrence’s Dior dress skimmed just above her upper thigh, and she elongated her lean legs with black Brian Atwood Mercury pumps.
The Hunger Games actress is the latest A-lister to wear the tuxedo dress trend and joins the ranks of Rihanna, Blake Lively, and more.
Rihanna donned the look back in March 2012, opting for a bright take with a blue swirl printed pattern by Stella McCartney. Like Lawrence, the “We Found Love” singer, 26, went braless in the loose-fitting ensemble.
Blake Lively skirted the issue in a white Noon by Noor tux-dress, paired with reptile pumps in February 2012. The now-pregnant star, 27, took a rather modest approach by covering up with black tights and opting for a higher neckline.
Gwyneth Paltrow took the trend for a spin in April 2013 for an Iron Man 3 photocall. She wore a contrasting black and white option, featuring velvet lapels. The Goop founder, 42, completed the sophisticated look with pointy black and pink pumps.
Leave it up to Jennifer Lopez to show lots of leg in her minidress designed by Rachel Zoe. The “Booty” singer, 45, matched her hot look with white Casadei pumps and a glam pair of cat-eye sunglasses.
