Bow down, McKinley High School! Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) is back and on a mission in the final season of Glee. Along with her bestie Kurt (Chris Colfer), Rachel plans to reinstate the New Directions Glee Club after the evil cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) disbanded it last season.
Fox teased the two-hour Jan. 9 premiere of the beloved musical series in a short trailer. In it, Michele as Berry sings a cover of Frozen’s “Let It Go,” which was originally sung by Broadway legend Idina Menzel — who just happens to play Rachel’s estranged mother on the show.
It seems like most of the favorites are back in their rightful places for the 13-episode season, with Blaine grooving with the Warblers, Santana and Brittany cheering on the field, and Sue holding her signature megaphone.
Spanish teacher-turned-glee club director Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison), welcomes Rachel back to McKinley, saying, “I’ve just always seen the best in you. I think you’re going to like it here.”
