Shade alert! Calvin Harris and John Newman released their sexy new “Olé” music video Friday, August 5 — and fans think the clip trolls the Scottish DJ’s ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift.
In the colorful video, Harris, 32, and Newman, 26, enjoy a summer vacation in Cabo, surrounded by the beach, palm trees and a group of beautiful, bikini-clad women. However, some scenes feature some interesting parallels to Swift’s romance with her new beau, Tom Hiddleston.
At one point, one of the models lounges on a bed of rocks by the beach, possibly a nod to Swift and Hiddleston’s first pictures together, in which the “Bad Blood” singer, 26, and the Night Manager actor, 35, kissed outside of her Rhode Island mansion.
In another scene, Harris, Newman and the girls go for a walk on the beach, just like Swift and Hiddleston did during a trip to London in June.
And finally, the “This Is What You Came For” producer and his Cabo friends pose outside of a seaside mansion while sitting in a group of chairs. As fans know, Hiddleswift and some of their pals — Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Britany Maack and Ben Lamanna — took a similarly adorable group photo while sitting outside Swift’s home at her annual Fourth of July bash.
It’s possible that the many similarities in “Olé” might be a coincidence, but fans seem to think otherwise.
“The Ole video is totally about Taylor Swift, right?” one user tweeted. Another fan commented on the YouTube video, writing, “This song is for Taylor Swift, right?”
