Keeping everyone guessing. Jennifer Lawrence has revealed she’s still unsure whether she’ll sign up for more movies in the X-Men franchise, and her male costars’ involvement is hanging in the balance too.
The actress stars as Mystique in the new movie X-Men: Apocalypse alongside actors Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy. But this movie marks the end of the stars’ three-picture deal with movie studio Fox, and talking to Entertainment Weekly, the 25-year-old actress revealed the future of X-Men is far from certain.
“Fassbender and McAvoy and I were all talking,” she told the outlet. “Like, ‘Will you come back?’ ‘I dunno.’ ‘I’ll come back if you come back.’ Fox should be terrified because the deal we made was like, if one of us doesn’t come back, none of us are,” she added.
Not that she’s certain either way, though. She explained to the magazine that part of her loves the role, but another part of her is concerned at the time it takes out of her year to film.
“I would love to come back. I love the fans and I love the character,” she said, before the adding: “You realize how important your year is, like, how important three months out of your year is. I don’t know. I shouldn’t be that honest!”
