The same, but different! Dancing With the Stars‘ season 22 contestants need to create chemistry quickly as they team up with new dance partners for “Switch Up Night” on Monday, April 18.
The new pairs were announced on Good Morning America on Wednesday, April 13, after fans voted on Twitter for the combinations and dance styles.
Fuller House star Jodie Sweetin, who has danced this season with Keo Motsepe, will join Val Chmerkovskiy for the special episode. The actress, who shared scenes with Val and older brother Maks Chmerkovskiy on an episode of Fuller House, is hoping to bounce back after earning a lackluster 27 out of 40 on her tango in the Monday, April 11, episode.
This season’s sexy standout, deaf model Nyle DiMarco, will team with Sharna Burgess instead of usual partner Peta Murgatroyd. The America’s Next Top Model cycle 22 winner wowed viewers and judges alike with his sexy Tarzan-inspired dance — loincloth and all! — in Monday’s episode, nabbing a 34 for his samba.
Maks, the show’s former dance pro who won the Mirrorball with Meryl Davis in season 18, returns as a guest judge for the episode.
