
Bill Hudson
Bill Hudson is a musician and actor best known as a member of the pop group The Hudson Brothers and for his roles in film and television during the 1970s and 1980s. He was born in Portland, Oregon, as the eldest of three brothers. He attended Cleveland High School, where he and his siblings began performing music together. After graduation, the brothers pursued entertainment full-time, eventually forming the group that would make them famous.
Bill rose to fame in the 1970s as part of The Hudson Brothers alongside his siblings Brett Hudson and Mark Hudson. The band found success with singles like “So You Are a Star” and made frequent appearances on The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour. They later headlined their own variety shows, including The Hudson Brothers Show and The Hudson Brothers Razzle Dazzle Show. In addition to music, Bill acted in films such as Zero to Sixty (1978) and Hysterical (1983) and appeared on television series like Doogie Howser, M.D.
Bill married actress Goldie Hawn in 1976. The couple had two children, actor Oliver Hudson (born in 1976) and actress Kate Hudson (born in 1979), before divorcing in 1982. He later married actress Cindy Williams in 1982, with whom he had children Emily Hudson (born in 1982) and Zachary Hudson (born in 1986). The pair divorced in 2000. Hudson also has a daughter, Lalania Hudson (born in 2006), from another relationship.
