Megyn Kelly is a journalist and talk show host. She was raised in upstate New York and attended college there before pursuing a doctorate of law at Albany Law School.

Kelly practiced law from 1996 to 2003 when she moved to Washington, D.C. to become a reporter. One year after moving, she began working at Fox News and hosted a solo segment entitled Kelly’s Court. In 2010, she began to host an afternoon show on the network. She went on to host a nightly program entitled The Kelly File in 2013.

In 2016, Kelly released an autobiography entitled Settle for More.

The reporter joined NBC News in 2017 and hosted multiple segments on the network upon joining. Her segment Megyn Kelly Today was cancelled in 2018 after she defended the practice of blackface while on-air, and her employment with NBC was terminated the following year.

In 2020, Kelly premiered her podcast “The Megyn Kelly Show,” which moved to Sirius XM one year later, and has amassed a following of millions as of 2025.

In 2001, Kelly wed to Daniel Kendall, and the two divorced in 2006. In 2008, she wed to Douglas Brunt, and the couple share three children: Yates, born in 2009, Yardley, born in 2011, and Thatcher, born in 2013.
