Naomi Campbell

Born May 22, 1970, Naomi Campbell is an international supermodel known for her exotic looks and nasty temper. When she was 15 years old, the London native was spotted by a modeling scout while shopping and soon after struck campaign deals with Lee Jeans and Olympus cameras.

As her career continued to skyrocket, she became the first African American model on the covers of Time, French Vogue and British Elle. She has also posed nude for Playboy.

In the early 1990s, she was part of “The Big Six,” which included top supermodels Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista and Stephanie Seymour.

The catty catwalk queen notoriously disliked fellow supermodel Tyra Banks resulting in a 15-year feud. However, Campbell made an appearance on the Tyra Banks Show in 2005 to put an end to the ongoing war.

Campbell’s bad girl behavior has resulted in a variety of legal issues and arrests, from throwing phones at assistants to allegedly assaulting a police officer. In April 2008, she was arrested at Heathrow Airport on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.

In March 2010, the supermodel’s temper got her in trouble after she was accused of assaulting her limo driver, but after a short investigation the driver decided not to pursue criminal charges.
