Cindy Crawford

Cindy Crawford, born February 20, 1966, is a world famous supermodel known for her signature beauty mark.

Discovered at the age of 16, Crawford began modeling in Chicago before briefly enrolling at Northwestern University. Deciding that chemical engineering wasn’t for her, Crawford pursued modeling full-time and soon found herself on the covers of magazines such as Vogue, Elle and Cosmopolitan.

As she became more in-demand, Crawford began hosting MTV’s House of Style in 1989. Two years later, Crawford married actor Richard Gere, but the couple divorced in 1995.

In 1998, Crawford said “I Do” once again, this time with nightlife entrepreneur Rande Gerber. The couple have two children, son Presley (born in 1999) and daughter Kaia (born in 2001).

Crawford announced she was quitting the modeling world in 2000 (though she continues to occasionally endorse products).
