Rachel Platten
About
Platten was born in New York City but grew up in Newton Centre, Massachusetts. After releasing two albums independently, she signed with Columbia Records in 2015, and her mainstream debut single, “Fight Song,” peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. She won a Daytime Emmy for a live performance of the song on Good Morning America.
The singer’s first studio album with a major record label, 2016’s Wildfire, was certified gold. She went on to release two more records: 2017’s Waves and 2024’s I Am Rachel Platten.
Platten married Kevin Lazan in July 2010. The couple share daughters Violet Skye, born in 2019, and Sophie Jo, born in 2021.
