Leighton Meester

Leighton Meester is an actress, singer and model best known for her role as Blair Waldorf on The CW’s Gossip Girl. Meester was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and raised in Marco Island, Florida. Meester began modeling at a young age and moved to New York City, later relocating to Los Angeles to pursue acting. She attended Hollywood High School and later completed her diploma through a private school.

Meester landed early roles in Law & Order, 7th Heaven and 24 before her breakout in 2007 as Blair on Gossip Girl, which ran for six seasons until 2012. Her performance earned her several Teen Choice Award nominations and a devoted fan following. During the show’s run, she also signed a recording deal and began releasing music.

Outside of Gossip Girl, Meester starred in Country Strong (2010), The Roommate (2011), Monte Carlo (2011) and The Judge (2014). In 2014, she made her Broadway debut in Of Mice and Men. She released her debut album, Heartstrings, later that year and starred in ABC’s Single Parents from 2018 to 2020. In 2022, she appeared in the Netflix thriller The Weekend Away. She signed on to the Apple TV+ period drama The Buccaneers in 2025.

Meester began dating actor Adam Brody in 2013, and the couple married the following year. They welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 2015, and their second child, a son, in 2020.
