Saweetie

Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper, famously known as Saweetie, is a rapper and songwriter. She first gained attention by posting freestyle rap videos on Instagram in 2016. Her breakthrough came with her debut single, “Icy Grl,” in 2017. The success of the track led to her signing with Warner Records and Artistry Worldwide, followed by the release of her debut EP, High Maintenance, in 2018.

Her collaborations have received much attention. Her 2021 single “Best Friend,” featuring Doja Cat, received critical acclaim and several award nominations, including a nod for Best Rap Song at the Grammy Awards. Her 2023 feature on Taylor Swift’s “Karma (Remix)” and her “Barbie World” duet with Nicki Minaj on the Barbie movie soundtrack are fan favorites.

Beyond music, Saweetie has established a presence in the fashion and beauty world, collaborating with brands like PrettyLittleThing, MAC and Rue21. She launched a 59-piece collection with PLT during NYFW 2019. Saweetie has also hosted major events like the 2021 MTV Europe Music Awards and appeared in the docuseries Ladies First: A Story of Women in Hip-Hop.

Saweetie dated Keith Powers from 2011 to 2016. She then had a year-long relationship with Justin Combs, son of Sean “Diddy” Combs, in 2016. From 2018 to 2021, she was in a highly publicized relationship with rapper Quavo of Migos. In 2023, Saweetie began dating rapper YG, with their relationship making headlines after appearances at Coachella and a vacation in Cabo. However, the couple parted ways in early 2024.
