Apparently Ryan Reynolds is preparing to be Mr. Mom! As Blake Lively’s first pregnancy keeps trucking along, her longtime pal and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants costar Amber Tamblyn has some interesting insight into what her friend will be like as a parent with husband Ryan Reynolds.
“They’re going to be incredible,” Tamblyn told Us Weekly at the Save a Child’s Heart event on Sunday, Nov. 16. “They’re going to be really, really, really incredible. Blake’s going to be more like the dad, and Ryan’s going to be more like the mom. And that just means very emotional, and he’s growing his hair out.”
Tamblyn, 31, who often goes on double dates with Lively, 27, and Reynolds, 38, and her husband David Cross, also revealed that her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants reunions with costars Alexis Bledel and America Ferrera happen all the time.
“Too often!” she joked to Us. “I just got off the phone with Blake actually. We see each other all the time, all the time, more than I think you guys even know. To like an extreme amount, which I’m always very, very happy with.”
And while she’s happy for her pal’s pregnancy, Tamblyn seems envious of Reynolds.
“I would love to have a child with Blake Lively. Absolutely,” she quipped. “I mean I’m in line. I’ll be the next one, I would be pummeling Ryan in the face to get [him] out of the way. So I can get to her uterus.”
When Lively announced her first pregnancy on her Preserve website in October, Tamblyn shared the photo on Instagram, writing, “Finally I can share my little sister’s good news! Congratulations my Blakey, you beautiful woman you. What a tremendous mama you are going to be. @blakelively @preserve_us.”
