Dawson's Creek

The American TV drama Dawson’s Creek centers around a close-knit group of friends in a small town. The main cast consists of Dawson Leery (James Van Der Beek), Joey Potter (Katie Holmes), Pacey Witter (Joshua Jackson) and Jen Lindley (Michelle Williams).

Following the main characters as they begin high school all the way to their college years, the series is a coming-of-age story that explores topics including first love, death, mental health and homophobia.

Dawson’s Creek aired in 1998 and ran until 2003 with a total of six seasons. A minor character named Will Krudski (Rodney Scott) was briefly introduced at the end of the third season to establish his character for a spinoff series called Young Americans, which aired for eight episodes in 2000.
