Joshua Jackson

Joshua Jackson is a Canadian‑American actor known for his roles on Dawson’s Creek, Fringe, and Dr. Death. Jackson was born in Vancouver, Canada, and spent part of his childhood in California. He later moved back to Vancouver with his mother and younger sister after his parents’ divorce.

He began his acting career in 1991 in the film Crooked Hearts and later appeared in The Mighty Ducks (1992) and its sequels. His breakout came as Pacey Witter on Dawson’s Creek, a role he played from 1998 to 2003. He later gained acclaim for his role as Peter Bishop on Fringe. In 2021, he joined the cast of Dr. Death as Dr. Christopher Duntsch. He received a Critics’ Choice Award nomination for Best Actor in a Movie/Miniseries for his role on the show. He went on to join the cast of ABC’s Doctor Odyssey, which ran from 2024 to 2025.

His film credits beyond television include Andre (1994), Ocean’s Eleven (2001), Shutter (2008) and Karate Kid: Legends (2025).

Jackson was briefly romantically linked to Dawson’s Creek costar Katie Holmes in the ‘90s. He then dated Diane Kruger from 2006 to 2016. He began seeing Jodie Turner‑Smith in 2018, and the two married the following year. They welcomed daughter Juno Rose Diana in 2020 before filing for divorce in 2023. Following their separation, he was later linked to Lupita Nyong’o until 2024.
