Based on the characters by Charles Addams, Wednesday stars Jenna Ortega as the youngest Addams sibling. She gets expelled from her school and is sent to her parent’s alma mater, Nevermore Academy, where she discovers she inherited her mother’s psychic abilities and uses her powers to solve a local murder mystery.

The Netflix series features Gwendoline Christie as Larissa Weems, Riki Lindhome as Dr. Valerie Kinbott, Jamie McShane as Donovan Galpin, Hunter Doohan as Tyler Galpin, Percy Hynes White as Xavier Thorpe, Emma Myers as Enid Sinclair, Joy Sunday as Bianca Barclay, Georgie Farmer as Ajax Petropolus and Naomi J. Ogawa as Yoko Tanaka. Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday in the 1991 and 1993 Addams Family movies, also appeared in the series as Marilyn Thornhill/Laurel Gates.

Wednesday premiered in August 2022 and was renewed for a second season in January 2023. It received two Golden Globe Award nominations and three Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series.
