Uma Thurman may have met her match in the forms of Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora. The performers teamed up for the new music video for “Black Widow,” taking heavy inspiration from Quentin Tarantino‘s 2003 Thurman-starring film Kill Bill, its 2004 sequel, and its highly anticipated third installment.
Azalea, 24, enlisted Ora, 23, for the latest cut off of her star-making 2014 album The New Classic. With Rob Kardashian‘s ex-girlfriend laying down the vocals, the track has the the Australian breakout rapping “This twisted cat and mouse game always starts the same / First we’re both down to play then somehow you go astray / We went from nothing to something, liking to loving / It was us against the world and now we just f–king / It’s like I loved you so much and now I just hate you / Feeling stupid for all the time that I gave you.”
The hate and revenge is echoed in the accompanying music video to “Black Widow,” which debuted on Wednesday, Aug. 13. The clip opens with Azalea playing a waitress in a diner, who takes the order of Ora’s character and her obnoxious male companion, played by Kill Bill actor (and frequent Tarantino star) Michael Madsen.
As both women become increasingly angry with Madsen’s character, they team up and nod to Kill Bill with striped jumpsuits, samurai swords, referential backdrops, and fight scenes.
