About

Carnie Wilson is a singer and television personality best known as a member of the pop trio Wilson Phillips. Wilson is the daughter of Brian Wilson, a former member of The Beach Boys, and singer Marilyn Rovell. She was raised in a musical household and attended high school in the Los Angeles area, choosing to pursue music full time after graduating.

Wilson formed Wilson Phillips in 1989 with her sister Wendy Wilson and childhood friend Chynna Phillips, daughter of John and Michelle Phillips. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1990 and became a commercial success, featuring No. 1 hits like “Hold On,” “Release Me” and “You’re in Love.” The group earned several Grammy nominations, including a nomination for Album of the Year in 1991.

In addition to her music career, Wilson has worked extensively in television. She hosted the daytime talk show Carnie! in 1995 and appeared on shows like Celebrity Fit Club, Gone Country and Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off. She has also released solo albums such as For the First Time (2003) and has reunited with Wilson Phillips for various tours and new music releases, including their 2012 album Dedicated and their appearance in Bridesmaids (2011).

Wilson married musician Rob Bonfiglio in 2000. The couple share two daughters, Lola Sofia (born in 2005) and Luciana Bella (born in 2009).
