About

Adam Levine is a singer, songwriter and television personality best known as the lead vocalist of Maroon 5 and as a longtime coach on The Voice. Levine spent his early years in Los Angeles, where he attended Brentwood School and met his future bandmates Jesse Carmichael and Mickey Madden. Levine later briefly enrolled at Five Towns College in New York but left to pursue music full-time.

Levine’s early band, Kara’s Flowers, released one album before disbanding. He regrouped with his bandmates to form Maroon 5, achieving breakthrough success with the 2002 album Songs About Jane. The record produced hits including “This Love” and “She Will Be Loved,” launching the group into the spotlight. He expanded his fame as a coach on The Voice from 2011 to 2019, becoming one of the show’s most recognizable stars.

Alongside Maroon 5, Levine helped to define early 2000s pop with hits including “Moves Like Jagger,” “Payphone” and “Sugar.” Over the years, the group released albums including It Won’t Be Soon Before Long (2007), Overexposed (2012) and Red Pill Blues (2017) and brought home their first Grammy in 2005 for Best New Artist.

In his personal life, Levine married model Behati Prinsloo in 2014. The couple share two daughters, Dusty Rose (born in 2016) and Gio Grace (born in 2018), and a son, born in 2023.
