Chelsea Handler is a comedian and New York Times bestselling author. Born in Livingston, New Jersey, in 1975, she moved to Los Angeles at age 19, beginning her career in comedy two years later.

The stand-up comedian got her big break as a prankster on the TV show Girls Behaving Badly before moving over to the E! network in 2006. From 2007 to 2014, she hosted the hit late-night talk show Chelsea Lately in which she shared her no-holds-barred take on Hollywood’s biggest celebs.

Handler has self-produced shows such as Chelsea Does and Chelsea Handler: Evolution. The comedian is also a best-selling author, thanks to 2005’s My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands. Her other written works include Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea and Life Will Be the Death of Me: . . . and You Too!.

After four years of dating, Handler split with Comcast CEO Ted Harbert in early 2010; she later dated animal trainer Dave Salmoni, rapper 50 Cent, and hotelier Andrew Balazs. Handler was also linked to Jo Koy in 2021 but the two announced their split in 2022.
