Cheryl Burke
Cheryl Burke became the first female professional dancer to win ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, taking home the season 2 mirrorball trophy in 2006 with her celebrity partner Drew Lachey. Burke earned her second consecutive DWTS trophy on season 3 with celebrity partner Emmitt Smith.
She competed on 25 seasons of the competition series, earning two Emmy nominations for her choreography. Burke took over for Abby Lee Miller on Dance Moms in 2017, leading the competition team The Irreplaceables. In 2018, Burke revealed she was in recovery for substance abuse and alcoholism.
Burke began dating Matthew Lawrence in February 2007 after meeting him on the DWTS set, when his brother, Joey Lawrence, was competing on season 3. While they called it quits in 2008, the pair reconciled in 2017 and got engaged a year later. Burke married Matthew in 2019, but the couple divorced in 2022.
