Catelynn Lowell

Catelynn Lowell is a reality TV personality best known for appearing on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom. Lowell attended high school in Algonac, Michigan, and later pursued coursework in counseling with an interest in social work.

Lowell gained national attention in 2009 when she and her then-boyfriend Tyler Baltierra appeared on the first season of 16 and Pregnant. The episode documented their decision to place their daughter up for adoption, which resonated with viewers and led to their casting on Teen Mom. She went on to appear on the show for four seasons and left shortly after it was rebranded as Teen Mom OG in 2015. She has since appeared in various Teen Mom reunion specials and spinoffs, including Teen Moms: Girls’ Night In.

She has used her platform to advocate for adoption and mental health awareness. In addition to her work on MTV, she coauthored the book Conquering Chaos with Baltierra.

The reality TV star married Baltierra in 2015. The couple share four children: Carly (born in 2009), who was placed up for adoption, Nova (born in 2015), Vaeda (born in 2019) and Rya (born in 2021).
