Garrett Yrigoyen

Garrett Yrigoyen grew up in Central California and was in medical sales before becoming a contestant on season 14 of The Bachelorette.

During the ABC finale in 2018, Yrigoyen proposed to Bachelorette Becca Kufrin. Two years into their engagement, Yrigoyen raised eyebrows for his controversial comments about “Blue Lives Matter” following the death of George Floyd in 2020. Kufrin announced their breakup that September.

Following his time on the reality show, Yrigoyen pivoted careers and became a firefighter.

Prior to his fame, Garrett was married to Kayla Yrigoyen from 2015 to 2016. He was then engaged to Kufrin from 2018 to 2020. Garrett married Alex Yrigoyen in November 2023 after getting engaged one year prior. Us Weekly exclusively revealed in January 2025 that Alex and Garrett are expecting their first baby.
