JC Chasez

JC Chasez is a singer, songwriter, dancer and actor best known as a member of the boy band ‘NSync and for his solo music and work as a producer. Born in Bowie, Maryland, Chasez was raised by his mother and later adopted by his foster parents Roy and Karen Chasez. He began performing at a young age and got his first big break as a cast member on The Mickey Mouse Club alongside Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling.

In 1995, Chasez joined ‘NSync alongside Timberlake, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass. They quickly rose to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s with hits like “Tearin’ Up My Heart,” “Bye Bye Bye” and “It’s Gonna Be Me.” The group’s albums No Strings Attached (2000) and Celebrity (2001) became major commercial successes. Alongside Timberlake, Chasez was a primary vocalist and cowrote several of the group’s tracks.

After ‘NSync went on hiatus in 2002, Chasez released his solo album, Schizophrenic, in 2004, featuring singles like “Some Girls (Dance with Women)” and “Blowin’ Me Up (With Her Love).” He later became a judge on MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew and worked as a songwriter and producer for artists including Taemin, Liam Payne and Backstreet Boys. In 2023, he reunited with ‘NSync for the song “Better Place,” featured in the animated film Trolls Band Together (2023).

Chasez has been in a longtime relationship with model and actress Jennifer HuYoung, whom he went public with in February 2019.
