Joey McIntyre
Joey McIntyre grew up in Massachusetts. He joined the boy band New Kids on the Block in 1985 shortly before turning 13. McIntyre replaced original band member Jamie Kelly and soon became known as the youngest boy in the group. New Kids on the Block — which also includes brothers Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood — split in 1994 but reunited in 2008. They’ve released eight albums from 1986 to 2024.
During NKOTB’s hiatus, McIntyre pursued a solo career, releasing seven studio albums from 1999 to 2011. He has appeared in both stage plays and musicals as well, including Tick, Tick … BOOM!, Wicked, Cabaret and The Wanderer.
In 1999, McIntyre made his TV debut with a small part on an episode of All That. He appeared in his first film, The Fantasticks, the following year. Some of his biggest acting credits include 2013’s The Heat and 2024’s Jingle Bell Love as well as roles on Boston Public and The Hot Wives of Orlando. In 2017, he created and starred on Return of the Mac, which aired on Pop.
McIntyre married Barrett Williams in August 2003. The couple share three children.
