Kris Jenner

Born Kristen Mary Houghton, Kris Jenner rose to fame as the matriarch of the Kardashian media family. She married the late Robert Kardashian, now known for being one of O.J. Simpson‘s defense attorneys, in 1978. The couple welcomed four children together — Kourtney, Kim, Khloé and Robert Jr. (Rob) — before separating after 11 years of marriage.

Before finalizing her divorce in 1991, Kris sparked a romance with Olympian Caitlyn Jenner. The two eventually wed that April after Caitlyn asked Robert for his approval. (Robert passed away in 2003 from esophageal cancer.) Kris and Caitlyn have two children together: Kendall and Kylie.

Kris worked with executive producer Ryan Seacrest to develop a reality series based on her blended family. The E! series Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered in 2007, launching the family into superstardom. Her company, Jenner Communications, produced the show for 20 seasons from 2007 to 2020. The family moved to streaming with Hulu’s The Kardashians, which premiered in April 2022.

Kris and Caitlyn announced their split in 2013, one year before Kris officially filed for divorce. She moved on with talent manager Corey Gamble in 2014, and her divorce from Caitlyn was finalized in March 2015.

Outside of reality TV, Kris manages the careers of all of her children and has branched out with several of her own business endeavors. She briefly hosted a daytime talk show, aptly titled Kris, in 2013 and has penned multiple books, including her 2011 autobiography, Kris Jenner… and All Things Kardashian, and her 2014 cookbook, In the Kitchen with Kris: A Kollection of Kardashian-Jenner Family Favorites. In 2021, Kris released her Safely line of cleaning products.
