Rachel Lindsay
Born and raised in Dallas to a beauty consultant and federal judge, Rachel Lindsay followed in her father’s law footsteps when she became an attorney. She received her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and sports management from The University of Texas at Austin in 2007 and her law degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee in 2011, the same year she started practicing in Texas. After interning for Texas Senator Royce West and the Milwaukee Bucks, she worked at the Dallas law firm Cooper & Scully, P.C.
Lindsay competed for Nick Viall’s heart on The Bachelor season 21 in 2017, and finished in third place. She was subsequently named the season 13 Bachelorette, making her the franchise’s first-ever black lead. On the show, she met and got engaged to chiropractor Bryan Abasolo. The couple married in Mexico in August 2019, but Abasolo later filed for divorce in December 2023. Lindsay and Abasolo’s divorce was finalized in January 2025.
Lindsay hosts the podcast Higher Learning with Van Lathan.
