Robert Irwin

Robert Irwin is an Australian wildlife conservationist and television personality and the son of the late Steve Irwin. Robert was raised in Queensland, Australia, by Steve and Terri Irwin. He was 2 years old when his father died in 2006. Raised at the Australia Zoo, he was homeschooled and grew up surrounded by animals and conservation work.

Robert made his television debut at a young age, appearing in wildlife documentaries and on shows like The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Good Morning America. He later began starring alongside his mother and sister Bindi Irwin in Crikey! It’s the Irwins, which premiered on Animal Planet in 2018. His work in conservation and wildlife education has earned him several environmental and photography awards.

In addition to his work at the Australia Zoo, Robert is an accomplished wildlife photographer and has published photography books and calendars. He has also collaborated with conservation groups and regularly shares animal-related content on social media.

In 2024, he became a cohost of the show I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! alongside Julia Morris. In April 2025, it was announced that he would be joining season 34 of Dancing With the Stars. Robert ultimately won season 34 with pro partner Witney Carson in November 2025.

Robert was romantically linked to Australian actress Rorie Buckey, niece of the late actor Heath Ledger, beginning in 2022. The pair made several public appearances together before splitting in 2024.
