
Tony Dovolani
Tony Dovolani is a professional ballroom dancer, choreographer and instructor best known for his long-running gig as a pro on Dancing with the Stars. Born in Pristina, Kosovo, Dovolani moved to the United States with his family at age 15. He began dancing at 3 and, after relocating, trained extensively in the American style of ballroom dance. He later studied at Fred Astaire Dance Studios, where he also began teaching.
Dovolani rose to national fame in 2006 when he joined Dancing with the Stars in its second season. Throughout 21 seasons on the show, he partnered with celebrities like Melissa Rycroft, Leah Remini, Marla Maples and Wendy Williams. He won the Season 15 all-star edition with Rycroft in 2012 and officially left the show in 2018. Outside the series, he appeared in the film Shall We Dance? and worked as a coach and choreographer for competitive dancers worldwide.
Dovolani married Lina Dovolani in 1999. The couple has three children: daughter Luana (born in 2005) and twins Adrian and Ariana (born in 2008).
