Tye Strickland

Tye Strickland is a former insurance agent, businessman and the husband of The Bachelor alum Melissa Rycroft. Strickland spent his childhood in Dallas, Texas, and went on to attend Texas Tech University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management.

Strickland worked in the insurance industry for several years before gaining public attention through his relationship with Rycroft, who rose to fame after appearing on The Bachelor in 2009 and later on Dancing With the Stars.

While he has largely stayed out of the spotlight, Strickland has occasionally appeared alongside his wife on various reality TV projects, including Melissa & Tye, a CMT reality series that aired in 2012 and chronicled their move to Los Angeles.

Strickland began dating Rycroft in 2006 before the two broke things off. They later rekindled their relationship and tied the knot in December 2009. The couple share three children: daughter Ava Grace (born in 2011) and sons Beckett Thomas (born in 2014) and Cayson Jack (born in 2016).
