William Daniels is an Emmy-winning actor best known for his roles as Mr. Feeny on Boy Meets World and Dr. Mark Craig on St. Elsewhere. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Daniels began performing at a young age alongside his siblings in a family singing group. He attended Northwestern University, where he studied at the school of communication and later served in the U.S. Army.

Daniels began his career on Broadway, appearing in productions like Life with Father (1943) and 1776 (1969), in which he portrayed John Adams. He gained prominence in the 1980s as Dr. Craig on St. Elsewhere, earning two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. He voiced K.I.T.T. in the original Knight Rider series and later became a household name in the ‘90s for his role as George Feeny on Boy Meets World. He went on to reprise his role in the sequel series Girl Meets World.

Some of his later credits include Grey’s Anatomy, Boston Legal and Paulilu Mixtape. He has also lent his voice to a number of animated series, including Kim Possible, The Simpsons and The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy.

Daniels married actress Bonnie Bartlett in 1951. The couple welcomed three children: a son who died shortly after childbirth in 1961, as well as two adopted sons, Michael and Robert. The couple holds the record for the longest-lasting Hollywood marriage as of 2025.
