Jason Bourne, is that you? Matt Damon looked like a total dad while filming George Clooney‘s new film, Suburbicon, in Los Angeles on Tuesday, November 1.
The 46-year-old actor was photographed on set in a white short-sleeve button-down shirt, which he tucked into his gray slacks, truly embodying the stereotypical working-dad look. With his light brown hair slicked back, Damon accessorized the business-casual ensemble with a striped navy tie, a wristwatch, brown leather shoes and Clubmaster-esque eyeglasses.
Damon stars in Suburbicon alongside Julianne Moore and Josh Brolin. The crime film, which is directed by Clooney and produced by Joel and Ethan Coen, follows a quiet suburban neighborhood plagued by a home invasion. Suburbicon is set for a 2017 release.
The Academy Award winner’s nearly unrecognizable appearance is the polar opposite of what fans are used to seeing in the Bourne film series, in which he plays Jason Bourne, a hunky, ripped (and often shirtless) former CIA operative.
Damon — who is dad of daughters Isabella, 10, Gia, 8, and Stella, 6, and stepdaughter Alexia, with wife Luciana Barroso — most recently starred in 2016’s Jason Bourne, the fifth installment in the action series. To prep for the role, he put in countless hours at the gym with a personal trainer to perfect his impressive physique.
“They wanted him to look like a badass with his shirt off. Lean and mean,” the Boston native’s trainer, Jason Walsh, told Men’s Health in July 2016. “He loves challenges. We got to the point where we were doing 100 pull-ups two or three times a week. We’d see how many sets it takes to get to 100. … He was doing 30-some pull-ups per set.”
