The Black Eyed Peas released the charity remake of their 2003 smash single “Where Is the Love?” Thursday, September 1 — and the video features a very long list of celebrities.
From Kendall Jenner and Justin Timberlake (who cowrote and sang on the original track) to Mary J. Blige and Usher, there was no shortage of stars willing to make an appearance for a good cause.
Others on the track include A$AP Rocky, Puff Daddy, Jamie Foxx, Ty Dolla $ign, DJ Khaled, Jaden Smith, The Game, Jessie J and Nicole Scherzinger. Even more, stars such as Wilmer Valderrama, Lance Bass, Connie Britton, Wiz Khalifa, Shailene Woodley and Snoop Dogg are featured in the video.
The original song debuted as a response to the tragic attacks on September 11, 2001, in NYC. Will.i.am said that they wanted to do a remake because of the gun violence, racism, war and poverty that continue to ravage the world today.
“I remember when the attack in Paris happened,” he said in a separate video to promote the tune. “People would say we need ‘Where Is the Love?’ again. And then Belgium happened, and then Turkey, and then Orlando, and then Philando, and then Alton before him, and then Dallas. Everyone was calling on us like, ‘We need that song again.’”
Proceeds from the song will benefit the will.i.am’s i.am.angel foundation.
The remix can be watched on Apple Music and downloaded on iTunes.
