
Black-ish
Black-ish is a sitcom that premiered on ABC in 2014. The series follows the Johnson family, an upper class Black family, living in a wealthy, predominantly white neighborhood.
The Johnsons include Andre “Dre” (Anthony Anderson), his wife Dr. Rainbow “Bow” (Tracee Ellis Ross) and their children: Zoey (Yara Shahidi), Andrew Jr. “Junior” (Marcus Scribner) and twins Jack (Miles Brown) and Diane (Marsai Martin). The series also features Dre’s mother, Ruby Johnson (Jenifer Lewis), and his father, Earl (Laurence Fishburne), as well as coworkers Josh Oppenhol (Jeff Meacham) and Charlie Telphy (Deon Cole) and his boss, Leslie Stevens (Peter Mackenzie).
Black-ish aired for eight seasons until 2022. The show received multiple Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominations, with Ross winning the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in 2017.
