Yara Shahidi

Yara Shahidi started her career as a child actor in the films Imagine That (2009), Butter (2011) and Alex Cross (2012). She is best known for starring as Zoey Johnson on ABC’s Black-ish from 2014 to 2022 and on the spinoff Grown-ish from 2018 to 2024. Shahidi’s first adult lead role was in 2019 as Natasha Kingsley in The Sun Is Also A Star, and she went on to play Tinker Bell in the 2023 live action Peter Pan & Wendy. Shahidi also voiced characters in the animated films Smallfoot (2018), Fearless (2020), PAW Patrol: The Movie (2021) and My Father’s Dragon (2022).
