Auli'i Cravalho
Actress Auliʻi Cravalho made her acting debut by voicing the titular character in Disney’s animated hit movie, Moana.
She landed the role as a Disney princess at age 14 after a Hawaii casting agent saw her in a charity video contest and sent her to Los Angeles to audition. She was the last of several hundred girls to read for the role and scored the part. The movie brought in more than $687 million worldwide. She returned for the sequel, Moana 2, in 2024 and is an executive producer on a live-action remake, set to hit theaters in 2026.
Outside of Disney, Cravalho has taken on a wide range of edgier roles, from Janis in the movie adaptation of Broadway’s Mean Girls (2024) to the queer rom-com Crush (2022). She has also made a name for herself on the stage, making her West End debut in 2023 as Eva Peron in Evita and making her Broadway debut one year later in Cabaret as Sally Bowles.
Cravalho came out as bisexual in April 2020 via social media after a fan asked if she liked women.
She announced in January 2024 that she was diagnosed with Ehlers–Danlos syndrome.
