Blake Horstmann

Blake Horstmann was born and raised in Colorado. He graduated from Nebraska’s Hastings College in 2011 with a degree in marketing and communication studies before becoming part of Bachelor Nation in 2018.

The ABC personality competed on season 14 of The Bachelorette, finishing as the runner-up during Becca Kufrin’s journey. Kufrin got engaged to Garrett Yrigoyen on the show’s finale, but she announced in September 2020 that they had called it quits. She later sparked rumors that she’d reconnected with Horstmann, but the two continue to claim they’re just good friends.

Horstmann returned to reality TV for season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise in 2019. During the spinoff, the beer salesman found himself at the center of the drama — both on and off the screen — with costar Caelynn Miller-Keyes. As the show aired, Horstmann released screenshots of messages between him and Miller-Keyes arranging to hookup at the Stagecoach Music Festival, which took place in April 2019. The messages were exchanged one day after the Colorado native had sex with fellow contestant Kristina Schulman. He later told Us Weekly that he doesn’t regret his actions.

After filming season 1 of the Paramount+ show All Star Shore, Horstmann started dating Giannina Gibelli. They welcomed son Heath Orion in March 2024, and the pair announced their engagement after three years of dating the following November.

Outside of Bachelor Nation, Horstmann is part of Blackout’s DJ roster and cohosts the “Behind the Rose” podcast with Erik Bradley.
