Bonnie Wright

Bonnie Wright launched her career as an actress after securing the part of Ginny Weasley in 2001’s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. She played the role for eight films over 10 years, concluding with the final movie, 2011’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.

She graduated from London College of Communication with a filmmaking degree in 2012 and founded a production company, BonBonLumiere. She has since directed several shorts starring Harry Potter alums, including David Thewlis, Jason Isaacs and Christian Coulson. She also directed a 2018 music video for Pete Yorn and Scarlett Johansson‘s “Iguana Bird.”

The actress highlighted her environmental activism when she published her 2022 book, Go Gently: Actionable Steps to Nurture Yourself and the Planet.

Wright married Andrew Lococo in 2022. She gave birth to their first child, son Elio, in September 2023.
