Brad Falchuk is an Emmy-winning television writer, director and producer best known for co-creating Glee, American Horror Story and Pose. Falchuk spent his childhood in Massachusetts, going on to study film at Hobart and William Smith Colleges. He later earned a master’s degree in screenwriting from the AFI Conservatory.

Falchuk began his career in the early 2000s writing for TV series like Mutant X and Veritas: The Quest before landing a writing position on Nip/Tuck, where he collaborated with Ryan Murphy. The duo co-created Glee in 2009 and the show became a cultural phenomenon, earning Falchuk his first Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2010. The show won the Golden Globe for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy that same year.

He went on to create American Horror Story in 2011 and has also worked on shows such as Scream Queens, The Politician and 9-1-1.

The director married Suzanne Bukinik in 2002, and they share two children, Isabella (born in 2004) and Brody (born in 2007). The couple divorced in 2013. He began dating Gwyneth Paltrow in 2014 and they married in 2018.
