Carmen Electra

Carmen Electra (born Tara Leigh Patrick) is an actress, model and television personality best known for her roles in Baywatch, Scary Movie and MTV’s Singled Out. Electra was born in Sharonville, Ohio, where she developed an early interest in dance. She began studying under Gloria J. Simpson before enrolling in the School for Creative and Performing Arts. After graduating from Princeton High School in 1990, she attended Barbizon Modeling and Acting School in Cincinnati before pursuing a career in entertainment.

Electra began her career as a dancer at Kings Island Amusement Park in Ohio before moving to Minneapolis, where she met Prince. The musician helped launch her music career, gave her the stage name and produced her self-titled 1993 debut album. After transitioning into modeling, Electra gained national attention through multiple appearances in Playboy and, in 1997, she landed her breakout role as lifeguard Lani McKenzie on Baywatch. She went on to become a staple of late 1990s and early 2000s pop culture through hosting gigs, comedy films and reality TV appearances.

Electra went on to star in Starsky & Hutch (2004), Date Movie (2006), Epic Movie (2007) and Meet the Spartans (2008). She has also appeared in music videos, including Jay-Z’s “Girls, Girls, Girls” and The Kid LAROI’s “She Don’t Need to Know.”

Electra married former NBA star Dennis Rodman in 1998, though the marriage ended months later. She later married Dave Navarro in 2003, and their relationship was documented on MTV’s ’Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen & Dave before their 2007 divorce. Electra was later engaged to musician Rob Patterson, but the two broke things off in 2012.
